- Saturday, April 16th, 2011Baby & Toddler Expo Lehigh volunteers, Brendan FitzPatrick, Chris Mariello and Amy Fiorillo participated in the Baby and Toddler Expo at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, on April 16th & 17th. The event supports local home based businesses in the greater Philadelphia area and features the latest baby products available.During the event, Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms staff provided samplings of whole and 1% white milk and 1% chocolate milk for families to enjoy. We were so excited to promote the nutritional value of our milk to the next generation of consumers and customers, at this great event!

- Sunday, March 20th, 2011Get Your Rear in Gear 5K & 10K Run/Walk Lehigh volunteers, Amy Fiorillo, Kelly Cox, and Brendan FitzPatrick, participated in the “Get Your Rear in Gear 5K and 10K run/walk” at the Art Museum in Philadelphia. The event helped local efforts raise awareness of colon and rectal cancer and positively impact screening rates.During the race, Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms staff and mascot helped participants refuel with chocolate milk by offering samples of Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms 1% Lowfat chocolate milk. Why refuel with chocolate milk?“Runners who drink lowfat chocolate milk within three hours of a workout show increased repair and better glycogen stored in muscles,” registered dietitian Althea Zanecosky of Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association. Zanecosky, who has taught sports nutrition at Drexel and is a distance runner having completed the Boston Marathon, was available to speak with race participants about Lehigh’s chocolate milk benefits as a recovery beverage.Lehigh Valley Dairy was happy to have supported this event as a resource to runners and walkers and in supporting increased awareness in our community of the importance of cancer screenings.”

- Thursday, March 10th, 2011A Chocolate Tasting to Benefit the ALS Association Lehigh volunteers, Kelly Cox and Brendan FitzPatrick, participated in the annual “A Chocolate Tasting to benefit the ALS Association” on March 10th, 2011 at The Adventure Aquarium. This event features all things chocolate where we were able to serve up our Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms,“Try it Hot” low-fat chocolate milk to over 400 people. What a great event to help raise money for the ALS Association!

Lehigh volunteers, friends, & family members showed their company spirit Saturday, 11/20 at Lansdale’s 60th Annual Mardi Gras Parade.
Volunteers handed out half-pints of chocolate, strawberry & white milk, candy, coupons & recipe cards to cheering parade watchers.
The event was extra special with guest appearances from The Grinch, Cindy Lou Who, & Max the Dog cruising Main Street in Grinch’s sleigh & entertaining the parade fans.
Special thanks go to -the Lansdale Fleet Maintenance Department & Chris Bacon & Jim Cicchitti for a wonderful job detailing & decorating our delivery vehicles. -Miss Emily Zarmanian (Merchandiser Darrell Zarmanian’s daughter) for participating as a special Lehigh ambassador.

We shook it good
Volunteers Dawn Bird, Bob Dugan, Pat Egbert, Ken Gray, Tom Mergenthaler, Mary Quigley, Leanne Rezabek, Terry Roche, Carole Swanson, Don Thibodeau & Darrell Zarmanian shook it up at the Fairmount Fire Company’s 25th Annual “Under the Lights” Car Show in Lansdale on Saturday, June 25th, 2010 selling milkshakes to car enthusiasts.
The shakes were made with Over the Moon 1% Milk & ice cream donated by Nelson’s. Selling over 250 shakes, we raised $910, to be donated to the North Penn Boys & Girls Club & the Fairmount Fire Company.

- Tuesday, June 8th, 2010Honoring Patriotism: “My Boss is a Patriot” award
Congratulations to Director of Distribution, Vince DeLuca on receiving the “My Boss is a Patriot” award, after nomination from driver Scott Magro, currently serving our country in the National Guard over in Iraq.
Vince was honored with a certificate and pin from the Department of Defense on June 8th, for his support of Scott and his family while he is away on active duty.
The Department also provided Lehigh with a “Statement of Support” certificate from the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, on display in the Employee Development Center.
